The day before the wedding, hours before the dress rehearsal, Aran and I slipped into the Chapel. We talked and pranced around taking pictures, discussing logistics and concerns, but then our mood shifted and we came together. It seemed as if the church was completely filled with people. The air became sacred and our eyes filled with memories of things that would come in our future. Our immediate space was warm and palpable. Music simmered, and boiled and then began to cool us…softly. We were being married and the chapel was full of witnesses. It was grand, and it was ours alone. Tomorrow would be nothing to be nervous about, for our hearts and souls were already joined forever and a mere 6 minutes had sealed it all for us.
